ORIOLE ADVOCATES' HOME RUN HAS BEEN CANCELLED.

We regret to inform you that the Oriole Advocates’ Home Run has been cancelled.  We were looking forward to bringing back this event and expanding our reach with a virtual event.  However, we have not attracted enough participants to make this a successful fund raiser or a competitive event.   

Thank you to those who signed up to participate in the Oriole Advocates’ Home Run. We will be issuing refunds to those who have registered over the next couple weeks.

Despite having to cancel this race, we plan to host a similar event in the Spring 2022 tied to Opening Day as we did with past races. 

Finally, I want to express my deepest gratitude to Charm City Run for organizing this event and the renewed partnership with the Oriole Advocates.  

The Oriole Advocates’ Charitable Foundation, Inc. is pleased to announce the return of the Oriole Advocates’ Home Run as a virtual event.  The Oriole Advocates hosted races annually from the late 80s through 2008 for fields of runners from 400 to over 1,000 athletes.  The races were tied to Opening Day and were highlighted by finishes inside the ballpark.  One of the more notable races began in Memorial Stadium and finished inside Camden Yards in its inaugural year.  

COVID-19 has introduced alternatives to the way we do things.  One of these are Virtual athletic competitions which allow athlete to compete and support organization but in a safe manner and on an individual basis.  The Oriole Advocates Home Run will be open from Saturday, October 16 through Sunday, October 31st, 2021 and is being handled by Charm City Run Events.
