Ultra Marathon Training
winter ultra marathon - starts december 1st
If you've completed a few marathons and are looking for the next challenge, an ultra marathon maybe the perfect goal for you! Ultra training is a true test your ability to endure and persevere, it is not about the pace or running fast – it’s about pushing your body beyond its limits and not giving up.
Our ultra marathon training groups meet twice a week for 16 weeks for runs and learn about hydration, trail running, easy runs, recovery runs, hydration, nutrition, injury prevention and much more along the way. Weekday runs will consist of hills and track workouts. Saturday morning runs will be trail runs at local parks, unless weather forces us to stay on the roads.
This group is open to all levels and paces, with beginner, intermediate and advanced training plans available. However, please read the requirements below to ensure you are ready to safely start ultra marathon training.
To safely meet your goal we do ask that you have completed at least one marathon distance and have a strong base level of running under your belt. We ask that you are able to run 10 miles at least once before the start for the program. Are you not sure if you meet these requirements? Don’t worry, ask the coach at your location on the information night.
Winter Ultra Marathon Training
train for a spring 50K (or similar)
Our winter ultra marathon group start December 1st and targets the HAT 50K in March or any other ultra marathon in the same time frame! This group will run out of our Timonium store but most practices will take place at surrounding trails.

To sign up for an info session, please fill out the form below. Registered or not, all are welcome to join us for an info session and/or the first day of training to get a feel for the awesome group atmopshere!
