High School Athletes: Join our High School XC Summer Camp and get the most out of your summer! Purposeful summer training is the foundation for a great cross-country season. Most importantly, summer training is important for your long-term growth and development as a running athlete. 

This program includes:

  • Structured and Coach supported training sessions
  • Integration of your coach's summer training program
  • Bio-mechanical analysis
  • Performance Education: goal setting, tactical aspects of racing, recovery techniques, and proper equipment usage
  • Premium
  • 10% off at CCR during the training duration

north baltimore county

Led by Coach Boyle and Coach Benjamin from Dulaney High School, the program runs June 20th - August 6th and meets 3 times per week:

  • Tuesdays at 6:00pm at the NCR Trail
  • Thursdays at 6:00pm at Goucher College for a track workout
  • Saturdays at 8:00am Charm City Run for a long run

Join us for an informational meeting with the coaches on Monday, June 12th at 6:30pm at Charm City Run Timonium. Bring your friends - pizza will be provided!

Led by Coach Davis of Performance Training and assisted by Coach Walker, the program runs from June 13th to August 5th and meets 3 times per week.

  • Tuesdays at 6:30pm at C. Milton Wright High School
  • Thursdays at 6:30pm at C. Milton Wright High School
  • Saturdays at 8:00am at alternating locations (Susquehanna State Park, Charm City RUn Bel Air, Ma & Pa Trail, etc.)

Meet your coaches

Chad Boyle

Coach Boyle has served as the Head Cross Country Coach since 1998, and Head Track and Field Coach at Dulaney High School since 2001.  In his tenure serving the greater Timonium and Cockeysville area, the Dulaney teams have amassed 26 Baltimore County Varsity Championships in Cross Country and 22 Championships in Track and Field. The boys’ team recently won back-to-back Maryland State Championship.  Leading these teams have been countless individual championship athletes, including most recent standouts Eric Walz (NC State ’20) and Isabel Griffith (Univ. of Penn ’18).  

Before coming to Dulaney, Boyle was a varsity letter winner for the UMBC Retrievers Cross Country and Track and Field teams from 1994 to 1997, where he earned All-Big South Conference honors in 1995.  His coaching experience also includes serving as a coach at Team Endure, a summer running club representing Harford County and northern Baltimore County from 1998 to 2005. Boyle has served as the Baltimore County Director of High School Cross Country since 2013.  He resides in Sparks, Maryland.


Eric Benjamin

Coach Benjamin enters his 15th year of teaching and coaching cross country and track and field at the high school level this coming fall. He currently teaches chemistry and coaches cross country and track and field at Dulaney High School. Prior to teaching and coaching at Dulaney he led the cross country and track and field teams at North Harford High School and Dundalk High School. 

Eric specializes in the distance events as well as all aspects of meet management and serves the Baltimore County Public School system as the director of middle school cross country, the Director of High School Outdoor Track and Field, and is a certified USA Track and Field Level 1 coach.

A 2001 graduate of UMBC, Eric was a four-year letter winner in cross country, indoor track and field and outdoor track and field.  While at UMBC Benjamin earned All-NEC Conference honors in the DMR and ALL-IC4A honors in Cross Country in 2001. In his four years at UMBC he was awarded the team’s MVP award in both Cross Country and Track and Field as well as Most Improved Athlete.  He is a former school record holder in both the indoor mile and outdoor 1500. While in high school at C. Milton Wright, Benjamin was the 1996 State Champion in the 3200 meter run.

Eric currently resides in Timonium with his wife Megan, daughter Audrey, and son Everett just around the corner from Charm City Run’s Timonium Store.

Murray Davis

Coach Davis brings 30 years of coaching experience in the cross country field, including being the head coach of the cross country teams and associate head coach for the track and field teams at UMBC from 2000-06. He earned America East Conference Coach of the Year in 2005 for cross country. Davis was also the head cross country coach at C. Milton Wright High School from 1997-2000. During his stint at the local high school, Davis earned All-Metro Coach of the Year honors in 1999 and 2000 guiding the lady Mustangs to back-to-back state championships. In 2000, he was awarded the Harford County Coach of the Year among all fall sports in the 10 area high schools.

Davis is currently head coach of Harford Community College Men’s & Women’s cross country program. He also coaches track & field at Harford Tech High School during the indoor and outdoor track seasons. Davis received his bachelor science degree, magna cum laude, from Towson University in physical education and his master of science degree, in exercise physiology from Eastern Michigan University.

Davis is also owner of Performance Resources, a full-service coaching resource serving the Mid Atlantic region and beyond. Performance Resources, based in Havre de Grace, MD, concentrates mainly in the realm of endurance sport—running, cycling and multisport.


Karin Walker

Coach Karin Walker is an eight-time state champion in Cross Country and Track and Field.  She ran for the University of Maryland, UMBC and for Team Adidas, winning numerous races and championships, and setting course and school records.  She competed in two Olympic Trials in the marathon, placed 11th in the Boston Marathon, and won the Charlotte Marathon. Karin is in the UMBC Hall of Fame.  She has been coaching Track at Fallston High School for six years and Boys Cross Country for the last two years. Karin has always seen the value in cross training and coaches to that—she trains for triathlons!
