Alicia Brooks O’Brien
Mighty Milers coach
I am a native Annapolitan, currently living in Eastport with my husband, two daughters (ages 3 and 5), and two dogs. I started running regularly as stress relief during graduate school and finished my first 5k in 2006. Since then, I have run 10 marathons, 25 half-marathons, countless shorter races, and 10 triathlons. I love to run in new and exciting places, and have finished races in at least 8 different states, as well as France and Iceland. I even ran a marathon on my honeymoon in Hawaii!
In 2017, I earned my first certification in group fitness and I currently teach three different class formats at several local gyms. I love to help people discover that they can do more than they think they can, and have fun in the process.
Professionally, I have always worked with children and families. I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of MD who specializes in child and family therapy. I have worked with kids of all ages in schools, clinics, and community-based programs.
I am thrilled to bring my passions for working with children and group fitness together as a Mighty Milers coach!
