Marathon Training
Fall training starts june 10th, 2023
Do you have a goal of running 26.2 this fall? Our marathon training program will prepare you to race your best - whether it's your first or 50th marathon.
Along the way you'll learn about about increasing your mileage, tempo runs, track workouts, hill workouts, recovery runs, nutrition, hydration, injury prevention, and much more.
Each group will meet twice a week and receive weekly training plans via Final Surge from an expert coach and learn about long runs, tempo runs, track workouts, easy runs, recovery runs, hydration, injury prevention, and much more. Get ready to train for your target marathon!
requirements
To safely meet your goal we do ask that you have a base level of running under your belt before joining this group. What does that mean? We ask that you are able to run/walk 8 miles at one time at the start of the program and are currently running at least 15 miles per week. This does not mean you need to be able to run the entire way but just that you are comfortable covering that distance. Are you not sure if you meet these requirements? Don’t worry ask the coach for your location! You will be surprised that most people meet these requirements and are able to join the group.

Our fall marathon groups start on June 10th and will target the Baltimore Marathon on October 14, 2023 or any other fall marathon in the same time frame. Training plans can be adapted to your target race.

Where will we run? Groups will run from their home base store or at local areas. We will meet in open, spacious location to allow for distancing before we start our runs.

Being a part of the Charm City Run Marathon Training group with coach Crystal has far exceeded my expectations. Honestly I was terrified at first when I signed up for the group and quickly realized within minutes of our 1st run that I was right where I belonged. Crystal took the time to explain the different types of runs and provided a very detailed plan. Even when I couldn't run with the group she always made sure to comment on my run stats and give feedback.
