COVID-19 Safety
Updated 12/20/21
Runners,
We are very excited to have the opportunity to run with you in person this fall. Although it will look somewhat different than past groups, we are here to deliver training plans and coaching support that will further your fall training goals.
Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) has created a group running operational preparedness guide for COVID-19 and Charm City Run will be following the same guidelines as we move forward with running as groups. Any runners who do not follow the below guidelines, will be asked to leave in-person training sessions.
CCR will monitor all guidance from local, state and federal authorities, and the Center for Disease control regarding COVID-19. The safety and well being of clubs, members, participants and coaches must be top priority.
CCR Program Guidelines and Expectations for Participation: (12/20/21)
Do not participate if you are feeling sick or ill, and or have a fever, or if you have been in contact with someone testing positive or unrecovered from COVID-19
Persons from high-risk groups for COVID-19 complications should consult their physician before participating.
Participants are encouraged to avoid traditional forms of physical contact (handshakes, high-fives, hugs, partner stretching, etc.), as well as close group gathering (group pictures, etc.).
Do not spit or blow nose while running in the group.
Do not share personal items, such as hydration, energy gels, towels, etc.
Participants may be required to exit programs/events temporarily or permanently should their actions not meet expectations and or they are creating risk for themselves or others.
Participants are highly encouraged to wear a mask or face covering when gathering pre- or post-run in the stores.
