Fall Trail Training

5k/ 10K or 1/2 marathon

Are you looking to tackle a new running challenge? Interested in taking your runs to the trails?  Our training program will prepare to race your best - whether you're new to trail running or a seasoned trail runner we will get you to the starting line prepared.  Your expert coach will also provide you with a weekly training plan that will guide your preparation for your target trail race.  Along the way you'll learn about everything you need to know regarding trail running including how to fuel and hydrate, pacing and picking out trail running shoes.

Our 1/2 trail training starts July 22nd and will target the River Valley Run Trail Festival on Saturday, October 14th. If you are running the 5k / 10K that day our training starts on August 19th.

Requirements

To safely meet your goal we do ask that you have a base level of running under your belt before joining this group. What does that mean? We ask that at the beginning of the program you are able to run/walk 3-4 miles at one time and are currently running 10-15 miles per week. This does not mean you need to be able to run the entire way but just that you are comfortable covering that distance. Are you not sure if you meet these requirements? Don’t worry ask the coach for you location. You will be surprised that most people meet these requirements and are able to join the group. No previous trail running experience required!
