This is an exciting opportunity to chat with some of the best names in the sport and get an insider's look at one of the largest races in our area. This event is open to everyone - you do not need to be registered for a training group or the race to attend.

ABOUT DAVE MCGILLIVRAY
Dave McGillivray, one of the top race directors in the U.S., will oversee the highly anticipated Across the Bay 10K event with his team at DMSE Sports, a race management firm he founded in 1981. McGillivray directs the B.A.A. Boston Marathon and other iconic road races such as the New Balance Falmouth Road Race on Cape Cod, the Bellin Run in Green Bay and the TD Beach to Beacon 10K in Maine. He is considered a legend in the running world for his race management skills as well as his personal feats of endurance, including his groundbreaking run across the U.S. for charity in 1978. DMSE Sports has managed or consulted on more than 900 mass participatory events throughout the U.S. and the world since 1981. McGillivray himself has completed 128 marathons and eight Hawaii Ironman Triathlons, run 120 miles in 24 hours, biked for 24 hours and swam for 24 hours. Even at age 59, he is still at it, recently completing his annual birthday run of 59 miles and running the Boston Marathon course for the 41st time 11 days after this year’s April 15 marathon. ABOUT PETER PARIS
A native of Maryland who has lived on the Eastern Shore for seven years, Peter Paris is a partner in two real estate holding companies. From 2001 to 2006 Peter was the owner of Horizon Communications, a business communication and soft skills development training company located in Prague, the Czech Republic. Prior to moving to the Czech Republic, Peter was a partner in Paragon Development Group from 1995 to 2000. The company specialized in equity- and fee-based development projects for AAA credit retail clients. From 1992 to 1994 Peter was a partner in Paris Management Company, a company founded by his father that was one of the first groups to look into the feasibility of establishing an Imax theater in Athens, Greece – Peter worked for a period of two years with his father in Greece. An avid runner, Paris lives in St. Michaels with his wife, Lucie, and two boys James and Philip.
