Yoga for Runners in Columbia

  • Charm City Run Columbia 7090 Deepage Drive Columbia, MD, 21045 United States (map)

Kick off the fall season and join us for a FREE yoga class in the Columbia store led by Jessica Sunder from YogaWorks.

Some say running and yoga go together like peanut butter and jelly. If you have never experienced the many benefits of yoga and what it can do to make you a better runner and person, come and try!

Learn how yoga helps with strength, flexibility, balance, opening up joints and is a huge stress reliever. It will improve your body and your mind. If you want to push yourself to your next PR or complement your casual running, yoga is where it's at.

Come dressed in comfortable loose fitting clothing and bring a water bottle, mat or towel and an open mind.

I'll Be There!

This event is FREE and you may just show up, but registering here reserves your spot on the mat and ensures you receive any updates about the event via email.

About the Instructor: Jessica Sunder

Jessica Sunder has a background in education and psychology. After working in the mental health field where she helped others with traditional counseling techniques, she studied Art Therapy to better facilitate creative expression, emotional awareness, and positive growth. She opted to take time from her career to focus on caring for her family and has two lovely daughters. She explored her yoga practice to enhance personal physical wellness, but quickly realized many other benefits of yoga. It just seemed natural to then study yoga to help others.

She accomplished her 200 hour Teacher Training from Charm City Yoga with Kim Manfredi, and is currently Registered with the Yoga Alliance, RYT. She is also a Registered Art Therapist, ATR, and holds a Masters of Art. Jessica currently teaches both yoga and pilates within the community. Feeling good is a direct result of one's emotional and physical health. Nurture yourself and enjoy!
