This is a one mile, point-to-point course through Historic Fort McHenry Park. The course is generally flat and features spectacular views of the Baltimore Harbor. This is a the only 1 mile race offered in Baltimore City and a USATF certified course.

Children 10 and under are free (children still need to be registered)
Race day registration will be available at the parking lot outside of the Fort.

Race Information
LOCATION - HISTORIC FORT MCHENRY
Fort McHenry is the sight that inspired Francis Scott Key to write the poem which became known as the Star Spangled Banner during the Battle of Baltimore against British troops back in September 13-14, 1814. Admission into the Fort is FREE for 15 year old and younger and $10 for anyone 16 and older. Fort McHenry opens at 9 a.m.

Race Day from 6:30AM-7:55AM at the Wallace Street parking lot
Course
A one mile, looped course through Historic Fort McHenry. The course is mostly flat and features spectacular views of Baltimore Harbor.
Awards
A completion medal will be given to the first 300 finishers.
Top three males and females overall
Top male and female following age groups:
- 10 and under
- 11-15
- 16-19
- 20-29
- 30-39
- 40-49
- 50-59
- 60-69
- 70+
Top three Clydesdales (200lbs+)
Top three Athenas (170lbs+)
Top three finishers in the walk will receive an additional award.
Parking
Limited Parking will be available just outside the Fort from 6 a.m. to noon. Carpooling is encouraged or use of public transportation.
Beneficiary: The Urban Children Foundation
Mission Statement: To provide Baltimore nonprofit and community based organizations funds and/or material resources such transportation, equipment, uniforms, and participation fees for extracurricular activities such as sports, music, and other visual and performing arts. Every child should have the opportunity to access, participate and experience these activities.

Please no roller blades, skates, bikes, dogs, pets or headphones allowed on the race course. Your race number must be worn on your front and must be visible. DO NOT exchange or give your race number to another participant.
