It's back! Join us June 2nd for the revitalization of the Waynesboro Family YMCA’s Tri for the Y! This Sprint Triathlon is hosted in the Shenandoah Valley under the shadows of the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains. Whether you are an experienced competitor or looking for a new challenge and just starting your Tri journey – this event is perfect for you. The course venue is the peaceful, family friendly, Ridgeview Park with a 50meter pool. Just 30minutes from Charlottesville.
Funds generated by this event support the ‘Cid fund’ – Cid Scallet was a tireless advocate for youth and families served by the YMCA. Money’s in his fund cover scholarships for those that normally could not afford YMCA membership or childcare programming. The Waynesboro Family YMCA has been serving the region for over 60 years with a focus on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
TRI for the Y DISTANCES:
Sprint Triathlon: 400m swim, 15.5 mile bike, 3.1 mile run
Sprint Duathlon: 1 mile run, 15.5 mile bike, 3.1 mile run
Aquabike: 400m swim, 15.5 mile bike

• 5:00pm – 7:00pm Packet Pickup & on site Registration
*On site registration requires cash or check to enter. (It is highly recommended to pick up your packet the day before the race).
Saturday June 2, 2018
• 6:30am Transition opens (No earlier!). Tranistion closes at 7:40am!
• 6:00-7:00am Packet pickup, Chip timing pickup and on site Registration. On site registration requires cash or check to enter. (It is highly recommended to pick up your packet the day before the race).
• 7:15am – 7:40am Swim warmups
• 7:40am Transition Closes for the Tri & Du.
• 7:40-7:55am pre-race briefing for the Tri & Du starts next to the pool.
• 7:55am Triathlon pre race line up at the pool.
• 8:00am Duathlon pre race line up at start line next to transition
• 8:05am Duathlon STARTS
• 10:00am Awards presentation
Packet Pickup
Friday June 1st, 5pm-7pm:
Packet Pickup will be at the Waynesboro YMCA just down the road from the Ridgewiew Park. Please make every effort to pick your packets up on Friday.
