Run Underwater!
The 2019 Geico Tunnel Run is an underwater 5k run/walk! Participants of all ages will run or walk out and back through Bore 4 of the Fort McHenry Tunnel. The 11th Annual Tunnel Run is hosted by the Maryland Transportation Authority in support the 8,033 athletes of Special Olympics Maryland!
ENTRY FEES
Registration - $35.00
$40.00 - per runner/walker on the day of the Tunnel Run
Regular registration fee to run or walk through the Fort McHenry Tunnel
Premium Registration - $50.00
Run or walk through the Fort McHenry Tunnel and score our commemorative Tunnel Run hydration backpack

Directions & Parking
Here are directions coming from either 95 S or 95 N. Please note that there is parking onsite, and once you have arrived, there will be officers onsite to direct you on where to park your vehicle:
I-95 South Take exit 56 for Keith Ave. Make a left onto Keith Ave. Make a left onto Leland Ave. Officers will be at Leland Ave to direct vehicles to where they will park at that point.
I-95 North With the closure of exit 56 due to the event, vehicles will have to continue up I-95 north. Take exit 57 for Boston Ave. At the bottom of the ramp make left onto Interstate Ave. Make a left back on to I-95 South. Take exit 56 for Keith Ave. Make a left onto Keith Ave. Make a left onto Leland Ave. Officers will be at Leland Ave to direct vehicles to where they will park at that point.
Event Guidelines
The race course is closed to bikes, animals & skaters. Strollers are allowed but are subject to search and participants with strollers should start toward the back.

By participating in the 2019 Tunnel Run you will be helping to provide year-round sports and leadership programs for 8,033 athletes of Special Olympics Maryland. 100% of your donation will go to support the sports and leadership programs offered throughout the state. All of our programs are FREE to our athletes and families thanks to generous community supporters who believe in the Special Olympics mission: to give our athletes opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendships with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
