Whether you have the speed of a cheetah or pace of a tortoise, join The Maryland Zoo for this wildly popular Zoo “Fun-draiser” annual event. Choose from either an 8K race Presented by Chase or the 1 Mile Family Walk/ Fun Run sponsored by CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield. Both courses run right through the center of the Zoo alongside the animals and feature our brand new African Journey habitats.

Course
The course begins with a 3 mile run through Druid Hill Park and ends with 2 miles inside the Zoo. There will be two water stops on the course.

Spectator Policy
Only participants with race numbers will be permitted on the Zoo grounds and in the ZooZOOM race village. If you are planning to bring people to watch you participate, they can watch you outside the main entrance, as the course travels directly past the entrance, or anywhere in Druid Hill Park. Note: there are no restrooms outside the zoo - all restrooms are inside the gate.
All spectators inside the Zoo Zoom village must purchase zoo admission or have a valid zoo membership.
NOT permitted: Animals of any kind! Strollers MUST sign and additional waiver and start in the back.
