coach 5K/10K - Charm city run training

 

Who We Are:

Charm City Run is a running and walking specialty company consisting of 8 retail locations and an events and training division.  Founded in 2002, our mission is to inspire and move the human spirit one sole at a time. We love this statement. It’s a lofty goal, but we have a humble and perhaps ignorant belief that we can do this every day.  Charm City Run Events produces over 130 endurance sporting events per year.  Over 85,000 runners and walkers cross a Charm City Run finish line every year.  Charm City Run Training prepares over 2,200 people per year for events from a 5K through an ultra marathon.  The Live. Give. Run. Foundation has donated over one million dollars in 20 years and Charm City Run Events helps local non-profits raise over $500,000 a year for their respective causes.  

Reports To:

Coaches report to the Store Lead and Director of Training Groups.

Responsibilities:

  • As a coach with Charm City Run your responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

    • Contracted by Charm City Run and member of Charm City Run staff

    • Represent and support the Charm City Run Mission Statement

      • “To Inspire and move the Human Spirit one Sole at a time”

      • Additionally support Charm City Run events, races and all programs that Charm City Run provides to the community

    • Utilize training programs provided to you to help runners of all abilities to meet their short term and long term performance goals in a motivational, inclusive and social environment.

    • Assist runners of all levels in identifying and reaching their goals

    • Implement programs provided by Charm City Run Training

    • Follow up, monitor, and communicate with all runners via Final Surge, Google calendar, email, phone or text.

    • Deliver training programs effectively with use of Final Surge, Google calendar and email communication.

    • Communication with your runners should include but not limited to the following: Recap of previous week workouts, topic of the week (hydration, stretching, etc) and then discuss in person with the group; locations for the week; upcoming store events at your store, upcoming races, and any other information & motivation. 

    • Participate and support In Store Events at your home store.

    • Social Media: follow, like, comment and share from the main CCR account, CCR Training, your home store. Hashtags to use when appropriate:  #livegiverun  #charmcityrun #ccrtraining #altrarunning #yourccrstore # training distance #the ccr goal race you are targeting 

    • Final Surge is for Charm City Run runners only.
