Spring Marathon Training

Starts january 14th, 2023

Do you have a goal of running 26.2 next spring? Our marathon training program will prepare you to race your best - whether it's your first or 50th marathon. Along the way you'll learn about about increasing your mileage, tempo runs, track workouts, hill workouts, recovery runs, nutrition, hydration, injury prevention, and much more.

Each group will meet twice a week and receive weekly training plans via Final Surge from an expert coach and learn about long runs, tempo runs, track workouts, easy runs, recovery runs, hydration, injury prevention, and much more. Get ready to train for your target marathon!

 

Requirements

To safely meet your goal we do ask that you have a base level of running under your belt before joining this group. What does that mean? We ask that at the beginning of the program you are able to run/walk 3-4 miles at one time and are currently running 10-15 miles per week. This does not mean you need to be able to run the entire way but just that you are comfortable covering that distance. Are you not sure if you meet these requirements? Don’t worry ask the coach for you location. You will be surprised that most people meet these requirements and are able to join the group.

 

Fall Half Marathon Training

Train for a Late spring marathon

Our late fall half marathon groups start January 14th and will target the Harpers Ferry Marathon on May 20th, or any other marathon in the same time frame. Training plans can be adapted to your target race.

Training Dates & Times

Check out the meeting dates and times for the training location closest to you.

Where will we run? Groups will run from their home base store or at local areas. We will meet in open, spacious location to allow for distancing before we start our runs.

  • Wednesdays at 6:00pm

  • Saturdays at 7:00am
