Columbia store leader - Charm city run
Who We Are:
Charm City Run is a running and walking specialty company consisting of 6 retail locations and an events and training division. Founded in 2002, our mission is to inspire and move the human spirit one sole at a time. We love this statement. It’s a lofty goal, but we have a humble and perhaps ignorant belief that we can do this every day. Charm City Run Events produces over 130 endurance sporting events per year. Over 85,000 runners and walkers cross a Charm City Run finish line every year. Charm City Run Training prepares over 2,200 people per year for events from a 5K through an ultra marathon. The Live. Give. Run. Foundation has donated over one million dollars in 18 years and Charm City Run Events helps local non-profits raise over $500,000 a year for their respective causes.
Reports To:
The Columbia store lead will report to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and will be a member of the Charm City Run Leadership Team.
Your Job:
The Columbia Store Lead is responsible for managing and leading Charm City Run Columbia. This leader will manage the staff ,inventory levels, and further cultivate Charm City Run’s relationships in the fitness and non-profit community. The Charm City Run Columbia leader will manage and lead according to the mission to inspire and move the Human Spirit one SOLE at a time.
Responsibilities:
Customer service second to none. Equal respect for every customer.
Manage the current staff and hire staff for the Columbia location.
Manage employee schedules and payroll.
Work with Footwear and Apparel buyers to determine product selection and optimal inventory levels.
Analyze top-line financials and staff performance metrics.
Work with COO to establish financial plans and budget goals.
Cultivate meaningful relationships in the community.
Create meaningful events that not only drive revenue, but elevate the brand’s mission.
Work with other leads to execute events and projects to push Charm City Run forward.
Share ideas and learnings with the leadership team of Charm City Run.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
Experience working with a team.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in decision-making and the ability to execute on plan and strategy.
Ability to work evenings and weekends. Retail hours.
A passion for the running and walking community.
Ability to anticipate how a decision made can affect our customers, our partners, our events or other departments’ operations and/or morale.
A mindset of getting the job done and working outside of the job description when necessary.
Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills that inspire and build trust resulting in effective working relationships across the company.
